Ruddy Metal Studio（RMStudio）2022年度首展以新「圆」系列真挚呈献。

距今3500年前，约我国商代初期，珐琅工艺起源于欧洲地中海的塞浦路斯；约公元13世纪末传入我国，虽是舶来品，却是“他山之石，可以攻玉”，珐琅技法在明朝景泰年间得以迅速发展，结合我国的传统工艺，形成其独特的风格，金属胎掐丝珐琅又称之为景泰蓝，体现着东西方文化交融的特点。

Enamelling originated in what is now Cyprus in the Mediterranean around 3,500 years ago, around the beginning of the Shang dynasty, and was introduced to China towards the end of the 13th century. It is also known as cloisonné enamelling on metal, reflecting the blend of Eastern and Western cultures. 

珐琅器之珍贵，充满特点的珐琅技法，丰富的釉色为 RMStudio 带来源源不断的灵感，于珐琅釉色的研究和美学之中的探索，犹如从珐琅的传奇历史中穿越而来，带着似曾相识的影子，却令人耳目一新。

The preciousness of enamelware, the characteristic enamelling techniques and the richness of the glaze colours inspire RMStudio all the time. The research and aesthetic exploration of enamel glaze colours traverse the legendary history of enamel, from shades of seemingly familiar to unexpectedly refreshing.

RMStudio 始终坚持“让珐琅回归材质本身”，设计化繁为简，以有东方气韵的「圆」为型，为光打造一处栖息之所。以首饰为载体，让高温珐琅这门古老的技艺化成停留在身上的光，融入当下。

RMStudio distils the complexity of traditional enamel into simple circles, creating a place for light to reside, which remind us of the brilliant hues of the heirloom enamels that spanned the cultures of both East and West for centuries.

新「圆」系列中的方型大漆首饰盒，浓重而深沉，与珐琅的“玉质”釉色相得益彰，似光影相随。传统大漆工艺的纸胎漆盒自是一件难得的漆物，亦是珐琅首饰的居所，如同一间庙宇将珍宝收藏。

The lacquer enclosure box in deep rich colours, complements the glaze of the enamel: a play of light and shadow. The box is a unique lacquer object in itself and serves as a home for the enamelled jewellery, as might a temple that houses a precious gift.

这种多元的碰撞，传统与当代相呼应的妙趣，也存在于这座600年前所建造的智珠寺中——此次展览的场所——如今的Temple，由东景缘修缮改造，从一座被废弃的寺庙，成为连结文化遗产保护和当代艺术的平台。

This collision of diverse cultures and the wonderful sense that traditions can yet find a place in the contemporary as the past flows into the present and beyond, is also present in the venue of this exhibition, the 600-year old Zhizhu Temple restored from its abandoned and forgotten state by the Temple Team into a cultural platform linking heritage conservation and contemporary art.

此次展览的珐琅首饰包含耳饰、戒指、胸针，有的温润如玉，充满东方意境；有的充满色彩张力，因光之折射而流露出动人的细节。

所有珐琅釉色创作，皆融合古今、东西于此时此刻，RMStudio 期待以最纯粹的方式完成一次「还圆」。

“还 圆 | ORIGIN” together in the here and now, this exhibition is a meeting of these myriad lines. Let this ancient art become a light that stays on the body and carries you through the present moment.
